Volterra, Italy (Tuscany)

My friend and I had parked our Vespas in a spot in Volterra that wasn't exactly a parking space. When we returned to the scooters we saw these three guys standing around them and talking. We thought for sure they were angry that we parked the scooters there. No, they were just gawking at the Vespas. It's funny, we thought the Vespas were pretty prevalent around Italy, but the Italians are still proud of Italian design and were staring at them in awe anyway.

Tuscany area of Italy

My friend and I decided we needed to rent Vespa scooters to really take in Tuscany Italian style. We came upon this field with the cypress trees planted in a single row. This photo looks more like a fake movie backdrop, but it's the real thing. The scenery in Tuscany was some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. It reminded me of parts of Switzerland.

Rome, Italy

There is something about photos of people laughing that just make you smile. I had never seen any type of bologna, salami, etc. that was ever this big before. This just happens to be mortadella. They cut this and make sandwiches. I didn't have any mortadella, but I did have some of their desserts and man were they good.
